When I saw the topography of your Antigone, I had an intuition it was going to be at least as good as the Shunyata, if not better. Do cables matter? In my experience, they do—especially power cords. I purchased a pair of these power cords for my Triton One speakers, which have a powered subwoofer with a crossover at 250 Hz. The improvement was immediately noticeable. The sound was cleaner and clearer. I was hearing details I had never heard before, with a larger soundstage and distinct instrument separation.
These cables are a definite value. Also, they make my other Shunyata “Black Mamba” cables look and feel like toys. They are well-built and very substantial.

I am listening to the new cables now. My hearing drops off at what looks like a ridiculously low frequency, so I don’t hear some things other people hear. However, these new cables cleared the sound up quite nicely. I recently got hearing aids to boost the high frequencies I was missing, and they do a nice job. Taking them out feels like someone threw a blanket over the speakers. These new cables sound like somebody removed sheets from the speakers. The sound is fuller, and I notice the details of the higher frequencies much better.
